Word Assessment

The word assessment we took yesterday was okay. I was really nervous since we only had 90 minutes and when I get nervous I start to rush. We had 6 projects to complete and I only got 4 of them done. I am hoping I did good but I am not to sure.

The Speaker- Mike Smith

The speaker, Mike Smith, that came to our school today was very inspiring. I really like how he strives you to go in what you believe and that its okay if your different. I also thought it was really cool how him and Calvin stayed best friends till this very day. What I find very cool is that he helps those that need help out in this world.

Smart Post

You would want to be smart about the stuff you post on the internet because anyone can see it. If you delete a post it is still some where out there, so make sure you are smart about what you are posting out in this world. Also be smart about the pictures you post, they should be appropriate because if you made a mistake that picture could still be out there.

Digital Citizen

It entails your life because you use it in everyday life. I would want to be aware because this is how you see what is going on around the world. You can see the news, elections, and peoples post. Being a digital citizen makes it a lot faster than sending letters.

Taylor Swift gives Breakup Advice to a Teenage Fan

This news article was about this teenager named Kasey who was dumped by her boyfriend after they have been dating for 4 months. The boy sent her a text saying that he was done with her, and gave her no reason why. So on Tuesday Kasey couldn't sleep at 2:09 am so she wrote a note on her Tumblr. She was hoping Taylor Swift would see it and with in hours Taylor replied. She gave her some advice. The advice helped Kasey a lot.

Trends

There are many different trends around the world today. Five trends that I found are Fifty Shades of Grey movie, National Pizza Day, John Legend, Spiderman, and Seth Rollins.

School Lunches

The school lunches they serve us are okay sometimes. In the past years the lunches have changed a lot to be eating healthier, which is good but there is just less food served. I would like to change where we could have a variety of different foods where we could choose from instead of one meal. One of my favorite meals would be tacos because they are good. My least favorite is the ham patty because it's just nasty.

Trip to Las Vegas

Two years ago I went to Las Vegas to see my best friend. One day durning the summer Ashley called me and asked if I wanted to come out there. I was in shock but also excited and didn't know if she was serious. So I asked her on the phone "are you serious"? As soon as I got off the phone I talked to my parents about letting me go. They said yes! I was really happy to go. My mom called Ashley's mom, Sara and they booked the plane tickets for June 24th to July 2nd. When this day finally came my parents drove me to the airport. I went through all the security and then it was finally time to board the plane. So I said goodbye to my parents and sister. I really missed them but I knew I was going to have a blast seeing my best friend. My flight was about 2 and a half hours, but to keep me company there was this kid about my age on there. He was really nice, so we talked and laugh. When it was time for me to get off we said bye. From there the flight attendant waited with me until we saw Ashley, her sister Lauren, and Sara her mom. We finally got to their house so they showed me around and helped me unpack. While I was there we did a lot of fun activities like, go to the Coca Coala, Factory, the M&M Factory, the Mall, the Adventure Dome, Springs Perserve, Lake Las Vegas, and the Strip. My two favorites were Lake Las Vegas, which is a hotel with a lot of fun places there, and the Adventure Dome, which is an amusement park. Overall, I had an amazing seeing my best friend and seeing some really cool places in Las Vegas.
